Letters to the Editor

In response to the letter written by Alyssa Werner and printed in a Warwick Advertiser, Alyssa who is the daughter of the owner of Werner’s Hardware in the Village of Florida and the Village of Florida’s Mayor’s girlfriend and a Florida Village Board member has taken her anger to another level. Fact checking Werner and Harter’s accusations in regard to the Warwick Republican Committee meeting found her remarks to be both untrue and without basis. Here is something to ponder…these accusations may evoke yet another lawsuit for the Village to have to defend. As everyone is aware, the first lawsuit consisted of the Mayor going against a lawful road emergency order. The Judge’s final decision in that case was that Dan Harter had to put the chain back up ASAP as he had absolutely no right to remove it in the first place. However, that was after he used thousands of taxpayer dollars to defend against the unlawful chain removal and by a lawyer that was asked to leave the Warwick Chamber of Commerce. Here we go again. If things do not go the way she and her boyfriend want them to they throw a temper tantrum consisting of unfounded accusations that they may be liable for. Just because the majority of the committee did not endorse nor agree with them, they attack those who chose another candidate to endorse. Their false attack on Supervisor Dwyer, who has been boots on the ground, and totally involved in making the Town of Warwick a better place to live clearly indicates that the Mayor of Florida and his girlfriend just want to point fingers and name call with zero fact checking. Question, are these the people you want to represent you? As I have mentioned numerous times on the air, find out who you are voting for. Do not go by name recognition. Listen to the people running for office to support and represent you. Do they represent your ethics and morals? Do you feel they will support the issues that affect you and your family including the alienable right for all Americans, i.e., a clean environment, protecting your property, etc. These two people are way too busy yelling, screaming and throwing out accusations without one shred of evidence. To whom are they doing that…those who have been representing their respective communities for years and making a real difference in the lives of their constituents. It appears from a psychological viewpoint, they have an exaggerated sense of self-importance, believe that they are deserving of special treatment and in need of constant praise and admiration and lack empathy with a sense of entitlement and arrogance, which is exactly the words described in Ms. Werner’s letter and the Mayor of the Village of Florida’s letter, Dan Harter. People ask how do we deal with those having these personality disorders…here you go…do not accept their behavior, maintain boundaries and believe nothing of their arrogant displays of anger. Remember, it’s not you, it’s them.
