New Year’s Eve…. We spent the evening at dinner with dear friends who roasted Frank’s favorite meal, Sam’s Meat Warehouse’s Filet Mignon that Frank is still talking and drooling over. It was a chance for the four of us to really get caught up as all our lives are so insanely busy. It was such a great evening taking time to just relax, talk and enjoy one another. We stayed until 11:15pm at which time we were off as we did last New Year’s Eve, we hurried back to WTBQ and WGHT and started the countdown. The first request came from the 911 Center in Goshen and from guess who…. Of course, the County Executive, Steve Neuhaus. Steve was of course spending the evening with the responsibility of the County first on his agenda, as always. His song request…who knew he liked Huey Lewis so much. Frank knocked it out of the park with his pick of music and of course I added my request, Pitbull FIREBALL… we had calls for Bruno Mars, UPTOWN FUNK…so many more… when the moment came at midnight we rang in the New Year with 3 million of our closest friends in the entire listening audience from NYC through North and Northern New Jersey into Pennsylvania and Sullivan County. It was sheer joy to welcome 2025 with Frank and doing it from the station just solidified our commitment to all we broadcast to. We live for our communities and the people who live and work here. We are well aware of what a privilege it is to share important information, humorous moments plus add the incredible show hosts, co-hosts, guests and all who walk through the doors and go on the air. We are ever grateful for our very loyal listeners, those who agree and disagree, we adore you all! America is made up of all of us and how boring would it be to have everyone look and think and sound alike. No thank you. I cherish the differences as much as the similarities. Let’s try to make 2025 a new path of acceptance and sharing and really hoping for everyone’s success in life. Imagine all the people livin’ for today… Imagine all the people livin’ in peace…you may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one.. I hope one day you’ll join us and the world will be as one… IMAGINE THAT!! Wishing all a very Happy, Healthy New Year with dreams realized.
