Florida, N.Y. – The Florida Chamber of Commerce would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who made the town’s first-ever Trunk-or-Treat event a smashing success! Held on October 19, 2024, this festive gathering brought the community together for a fun-filled afternoon of Halloween treats, activities, and local pride.
The event wouldn’t have been possible without the creativity and participation of the many local organizations and businesses that decorated their trunks and handed out candy. A big thank you goes to the Florida Public Library, the Florida Lions Club, the Florida Fun-Fest Committee, New Beginnings Spa, Werner’s Ace Hardware, Walden Bank, and Paul Nieman and Friends for their spooky, fun displays.
Kids enjoyed face painting and temporary tattoos, thanks to the S.S. Seward PTSA, while Fresh Fusion Smoothies and Juice and Zoe’s Latin Cafe kept everyone well-fed with delicious food. S&SO Produce and Shuback Farms generously donated pumpkins for decorating, and special thanks to Bobby for providing hay bales that added to the festive fall atmosphere.
The fun didn’t stop there! T.S. Purta Funeral Homes helped power the fantastic music provided by our DJ, and Social Island gave families a memorable hay wagon ride through the village. St. Joseph’s Church graciously provided the field space, rounding out a day filled with community spirit.
Beth Fuller, Secretary of the Florida Chamber of Commerce, expressed her gratitude to everyone involved and said, “It was a grand day, and we can’t wait to see everyone again next year!”
