Florida Chamber of Commerce Honors Local Veterans

Local News

April 25, 2024 was the monthly event for the Florida Chamber of Commerce. It was held at Zoe’s Latin Café, 56 N. Main St., Florida. ( https://www.zoeslatincafe.com/ )

Guests were present for this month as three (3) local residents and military veterans were honored.

Robert Scott III, Thomas Fuller Sr., and James Sosler are all veterans who participated in the Hudson Valley Honor Flight. They left on buses from the Montgomery ShopRite, in the early hours, led by a huge procession of motorcycles,  to board planes that flew them to Washington D.C. for the day. Each veteran is assigned a guardian to accompany them and our veterans were fortunate to have their own sons with them (one of them is also a veteran.). They visited memorials for World War II, Vietnam , Korea, Marine Corp, Audie Murphy, the Changing of the Guard at Arlington Cemetery and other magnificent sites. Their long day concluded with a mail call on the flight home, where each veteran received many cards and letters of support and thanks, and a welcoming sight of all the family members and friends there to greet them back. They came to our meeting / event to share their experiences and we appreciate their time and their service.
