Constituent Advocacy Resources Empowerment Services (C.A.R.E.S.) Van’s April events will bring assistance with federal agencies to communities across NY-18
Ryan recently celebrated the C.A.R.E.S. Van’s completion of its first district tour after visiting every city and town in NY-18
WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Pat Ryan launched his Constituent Advocacy Resources Empowerment Services (C.A.R.E.S.) Van’s second district tour, announcing the Van’s April schedule of events. The Van, staffed by highly-trained caseworkers from the Congressman’s team, provides direct assistance to constituents across NY-18 – ensuring people can access everything from help with passports to Social Security benefits to flood recovery assistance right in their own community. In March, Ryan drove the C.A.R.E.S. Van to the final stops of its first district tour – in under 10 months, the C.A.R.E.S. Van visited every one of the 82 cities, towns, and villages in NY-18. Ryan’s office will partner with the office of Assemblymember Didi Barrett to bring assistance with state and federal-level agencies to events on April 10th at the Stanford and Clinton town halls.
“I’m proud of what we accomplished in the C.A.R.E.S. Van’s first district tour – bringing direct relief to thousands of folks in every one of the 82 towns in NY-18,” said Congressman Ryan. “But that was just the beginning, I’m thrilled that we’re going to cut through the red tape and help even more Hudson Valley families in round two. If you need assistance or want to discuss Hudson Valley priorities, I hope you’ll join one of April’s events!”
Congressman Ryan’s C.A.R.E.S. Van assists constituents of NY-18 in accessing earned benefits, such as Veterans’ Affairs benefits and Social Security, federal grant funding, passports and visas, immigration and naturalization services, and resolving issues with federal agencies, such as the Internal Revenue Service.
