It’s the people of Orange County who make our communities great. Our teachers and nurses, our firefighters and police officers. From first responders to first graders, our lives are enriched by the quality of the people in our schools, neighborhoods, and communities.
One of the best parts about my job as State Senator is the opportunity to recognize when someone goes above and beyond the call of their duty. Whether it’s an act of life-altering heroism, a youth group working hard to make the world a better place, or a wonderful small business who has been making a contribution to their community for many years, recognizing and honoring those people and organizations can have a ripple effect on a community–reminding everyone that acts of exceptionalism large and small are worth celebrating.
I want to do even more to recognize this kind of merit this year.
