Greenwood Lake Elementary School Sets New Fundraising Record for American Heart Association

In a successful endeavor, Greenwood Lake Elementary School celebrated another outstanding year of fundraising for the American Heart Association. The entire school community, including students and staff, actively participated in this charitable initiative, contributing to a grand total of $6,589.89 – a remarkable achievement and a new school record!

Greenwood Lake Elementary School’s 2024 Kids Heart Challenge Results:

  • Total money raised: $6,589.89
  • 43 students registered for the Kids Heart Challenge
  • 25 students raised money towards the Kids Heart Challenge
  • 10 students completed hands-only CPR training
  • 9 students completed warning signs of a stroke
  • 7 students completed Finn’s lifesaving mission

The event was skillfully organized and overseen by Physical Education teacher, Mr. Erik Fosstveit. The dedicated coordination received invaluable support from Cara Donohoe, the Director of School Engagement for the American Heart Association.

The impressive fundraising efforts and active participation reflect the school’s dedication to making a positive impact on the community and beyond.
