This is one girl’s opinion, and YES, I like to be referred to as a “girl.” When did that become a bad word…like calling someone “sweetie” or “honey” which I do. What has happened to this country in a few short years. Most appear to be living in fear of the words that they wish to express and band together as sheep on so-called “social media.” There is nothing social about it. All these sites like Facebook are a haven for angry, negative and sometimes sociopaths to lie and post at will and would never think of knocking on your door to speak face to face. Remember those days. You were a kid, you got into a fight, your parents went to the other kid’s parents and they talked it out. Not today! Today the parents go on social media to post whatever they feel is in their defense albeit not the actual truth, just their truth. Always with animosity and 99% untruths. The sad statement is that most are attracted to negative comments. You should ask yourself why. Why would you be drawn to negativity. Maybe you are the one with the issues. Now there’s an interesting insight. Or are you one of those that has an excuse for every accusation you make even though they are never fact-based. Reminds me of a young lady (is it still appropriate to call someone a “young lady” or is that a no-no as well) who came into the station when we were at that point of checking Covid vaccine cards as we certainly did not want the 60 show hosts or our staff to contract Covid. Before she entered, I inquired if she had her card proving she had been vaccinated (she was informed by the show host that she had to have the card as proof before coming into the station) and her response was she didn’t believe in it. I asked why and her response was she heard she would not be able to get pregnant if she received the vaccine. I then asked which doctor told her that. Her response… her friend on Facebook posted it. And there you go. The fear begins. The Hollywood community is all in on this generational/Covid populace. But then again, if one buys a Hermes bag, they all have to have one. They also do not think for themselves for FEAR they won’t be accepted, will not be considered for a particular role, won’t be seen with the “right” people. There’s that 4-letter word again…. F E A R! My grandparents on both sides were fearless. They came from various countries, as legal immigrants, worked their bums off and would never think of taking one cent from our government. That was a sin! Not today. Hundreds of thousands of immigrants flooding in accompanied by many on our terrorist watch list, and our government is saying WELCOME and let us pay for all your needs although they are not working, do not have a home, and are living off our hard earned tax dollars and you do not believe there’s anything wrong with this deal. Welcome to Biden and Hochul Land. Keep voting “party” instead of person and you will have more of the same. I am not suggesting who you should vote for, I AM AN AMERICAN and I still believe in Democracy, however I am suggesting you THINK for yourselves. What a unique idea. I will leave you with a quote from John F. Kennedy. Please read it more than once. “Change is the law of life, and those who look only to the past and present are certain to miss the future.” And you can determine your future and those of your loved ones. It’s your decision to choose to be brave and help change for good.
