After a year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic health situation, the Warwick Fire Department (WFD) annual Fireman’s Carnival will return on Wed., June 23. As in years past, it will be held at Veterans Memorial Park, 29 Forester Ave. in the Village of Warwick.
Covid-19 protocols and safety measures will be in place including mask requirements and social distancing. A Facebook group and QR code have been created to allow patrons to download a form to fill out prior to attending the carnival. The carnival will be held, rain or shine, on Wed., June 23, Thurs., June 24, Fri., June 25, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Sat., June 26, 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. The annual fireworks display will take place at 10 p.m. on Sat., June 26. The rain date for the fireworks only is Sun., June 27.
Donations will be accepted at the entrance to the park and wristbands will be available each night allowing participants to ride all night for one price. The carnival is a cash only event, an ATM may be available through Gillette Shows at the park.
