Orange County Arts Council (OCAC) announces its new board president, Janet Howard-Fatta, of J. Howard Studios. She has long been affiliated with OCAC as a board member and board vice-president. In addition, OCAC welcomes two new board members, Jamie Perrow, Partner and Director of Art & Design at Urban Art Projects and Thomas P. Kennedy, CPA. Each brings a wealth of experience in the arts as well as business.
As OCAC’s new president, Janet Howard-Fatta plans to create more access to the arts and opportunities for artists. She also serves as the chair of the Arts Outreach Committee which not only offers monthly studio visits, but provides free Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access training to all arts organizations in Orange County.
Jamie Perrow is also the chair of OCAC’s newly formed Public Art Committee, dedicated to advance an appreciation of the economic and societal benefits of Public Art opportunities in Orange County. As the Co-Creative Director of UAP, Jamie has worked on a significant array of projects, collaborating with local and international emerging and established artists, architects and designers.
Tom Kennedy, who serves as OCAC’s board treasurer, is a certified public accountant with 30 years of experience providing accounting, audit and tax services for clients in the not-for- profit, government and healthcare industries. He is an avid musician and photographer and in 2020 created Rill Song Studios, a music recording and visual fine arts studio.
