John Stage Enjoys the Services of the Friendly Visitor Program

Local News News & Updates

The Warwick Friendly Visitor Program would like to spotlight John Stage who was born in Warwick in 1925 and is currently living in the home that he grew up in with his seven siblings.

John was a photo journalist who traveled the world working for National Geographic and Life magazines. He raised his family on a farm in New Milford and then moved back home to Warwick. He has seen many changes in Warwick (mostly good – he added). John loves all the community involvement and loves that Warwick is small and very welcoming. He thinks the best improvements in the Town have been the Development Rights Program which helps keep open spaces.

John is appreciative of the Friendly Visitor Program. He has a weekly shopper and rides to different medical appointments. The program has been essential in keeping him in the comfort of his home. He appreciates and trusts all the wonderful volunteers and the services they provide.
