Warwick Valley High School recognizes Kadence Schluter and Oliver Bieling and this week’s Student-Athletes of the Week, sponsored by ALLSTATE Insurance Bill Garcia Agency.
Senior standout Kadence Schluter is a three-year varsity softball player and one of the area’s top pitchers. She has qualified for the honor roll and was recognized as a Scholar-Athlete for Softball by the NYSPHSAA. She was a key contributor (pitcher) to the Wildcats Section IX Softball Title in 2019. Kadence will be attending Russell Sage College in Troy, NY majoring in Criminal Justice and playing softball for the Gators of the Empire 8 NCAA Conference.
Kadence is the daughter of Jaime and Robert Schluter of Warwick. Her brothers Robert and Hunter both attend the Warwick School District.
Oliver Bieling carries an overall average of 100 and is a three-sport standout (football, wrestling and baseball). He is a NYSPHSAA Scholar-Athlete and member of both the National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society. Oliver received the Engineering, Creativity and Innovations Scholarship and has taken over Advanced Placement Courses for College Credit during his tenure at WVHS. He will be attending Brown University of the prestigious Ivy League and majoring in engineering. He will transition to a college rugby player for the Brown Bears.
Oliver is the son of Scott and Catarina Bieling of Warwick. His sister, Maya, is a junior at WVHS and sister, Penny, is a seventh grader in the Warwick Valley Middle School.
