The Warwick Valley High School (WVHS) Art Department is proud to announce this year’s WVHS Arts Scholarship Chair Auction. The event is ongoing through Fri., May 14. All proceeds from the auction will go to fund scholarships for graduating seniors who plan to pursue art in college.
Students in Kristen Spano’s art portfolio class were challenged to transform an ordinary chair into a work of art in the style of a specific art movement, technique, or artist. This year’s 16 chairs (and two framed prints) run a range of styles, including country chic, glam, Hollywood noir, Americana, and more.
