Voters headed to the polls on Tues., May 18 and approved the proposed budgets in all three School Districts in the Town of Warwick.

                Greenwood Lake Union Free School District

        The Greenwood Lake Union Free School District budget of $27,125,655 was approved with 309 in favor while 63 voted no. Voters selected three new School Board members – Patricia (Patty) Kaminski (274), Michael Emsworth (221), and Jonathan (Jon) Thurber (217) – over incumbents Thomas (T.J.) O’Brien (188), and Yu Kwon Lee (161).

Warwick Valley Central School District

        The preliminary results for the Warwick Valley Central School District budget vote and Board candidate election are as follows:

Voters approved the District’s budget of $98,620,042 with 2,497 votes while 1,108 voted no. The District’s proposition to acquire six school buses passed with 2,369 votes while voted 1,222 no.

Voters selected the following three school board members – incumbent Lynn Lillian (1,824), incumbent Sharon Davis (1,816), and Bill Fanos (1,784).

Candidates Bob Larsen received 1,760 votes, incumbent David Eaton received 1,712 votes, Tiffany Howell received 1,676 votes and Joe Melder received 422 votes.

  Florida Union Free School District

        In the Florida Union Free School District, voters approved the $23,537,680 budget for the 2021-22 school year with 195 yes votes while 69 voted no. Incumbents Robert J. Scheuermann and John T. Redman II were both re-elected to the School Board for a three-year term with 225 and 193 votes, respectively.
