The Town of Warwick’s Tree Commission and the Warwick Valley Gardeners invite the community to celebrate Arbor Day on Fr., Apr. 30 at 9 a.m. at the Dog Park on Union Corners Rd. We will be planting a ‘Royal Raindrops’ crabapple tree.
As part of our Arbor Day activities, the Town’s Tree Commission is planting 10 trees along State School Rd., the entrance to Warwick Woodlands Park. Several trees have died along the road, and the Tree Commission is replacing them with a mixture of hybrid elms, tulip trees, oaks and London plane trees. The trees were planted with the help of volunteers from the Evolution Health Group, who graciously volunteered to assist with the tree planting on Fri., Apr. 23.
If you are interested in trees and would like to become a member of the tree commission, contact Karen Emmerich at 986-0151, or email karenemmerich77@gmail.com.
