Rare Books & One-of-a-Kind Auction Live Until May 30

Local News News & Updates

Acquire something unique at the first online auction to benefit the mission of the Warwick Historical Society, live until Sun., May 30, with many bids starting at just $10.

Up for bid are a selection of rare books and one-of-a-kind items donated to the Society with the intention of auctioning them to aid in its mission – preserving, sharing and celebrating the history of the Town of Warwick. Many of these items were part of a collection in one of Warwick’s oldest families. The books featured in the auction include titles by such well-known authors as Mark Twain and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and many are first editions.

Other items up for bid include a slate mantle clock from the mid-1800s, three copper lusterware pitchers circa 1840s, and a charming model play general store complete with miniature goods for hours of imaginative play.

To view the entire auction, go to www.hstw.betterworld.org/auctions/rare-book-one-kind-auction, or contact the Warwick Historical Society to make an appointment to see the items in person. The auction is open until Sun., May 30 at 5 p.m.
