O.C. Hosts Law Enforcement Memorial Service

Local News News & Updates

Orange County Executive Steven M. Neuhaus proudly attended the 2021 Orange County Law Enforcement Memorial Service that was held recently at the Orange County Courthouse. District Attorney David M. Hoovler, Sheriff Carl E. DuBois and several other dignitaries also attended the event. Former New York Police Department (NYPD) Chief of Department Terence Monahan served as the keynote speaker.

“This service enabled us to not only to pay tribute to law enforcement officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice, but also to show our support for their families,” Neuhaus said. “We all respect their commitment, dedication and bravery and should let them know that, today and every day.”

The annual event, hosted by the New York State Fraternal Order of Police, Jason Conklin Memorial Lodge, #957, honors Orange County’s law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty and whose names have been enshrined on two memorial walls outside the Courthouse.
