Meals on Wheels of Warwick recipients received an extra sweet treat recently with their meal deliveries. Girl Scout Unit 229 in Florida, NY donated 40 boxes of Girl Scout cookies, along with handwritten cards from the Girl Scouts.
Meals on Wheels of Warwick also received a donation of roses from the Warwick Valley Rotary Club, who wanted to honor women, first responders and veterans for being valuable members of the Warwick community. Roses were included in several deliveries to clients and given to Meals on Wheels drivers and a meal packer. The Rotary Club also graciously donated a pack of fifty masks, which Meals on Wheels of Warwick can use for their operations this spring.
Meals on Wheels of Warwick delivers meals to those in the community who are temporarily or permanently unable to cook for themselves. For more information on the services provided, making a donation, or becoming a volunteer, contact the office at 986-3389 or visit mealsonwheelsofwarwickny.org.
