Recipe for an excellent school board: Recognition for excellent academics and arts at all school levels. Fiscal responsibility. Minimal raise in taxes until this year when there’s no raise. Environmental stewardship: good education, healthful, and saves money to boot. Excellent communications with the community and community organizations.
There’s more, but in this year-like-no-other-year, a critical ingredient in the recipe has been the planning and smooth execution of in-person vs. remote learning systems. Our district has had more in-person instruction than any other in the region.
It makes no sense whatsoever to allow inexperienced candidates
with largely-unknown positions to try to change the recipe.
That’s why it’s so important to vote for Lynn Lillian, Dave Eaton, and Sharon Davis, the incumbents in this year’s school board elections. They’ve done a powerful job and we would be lucky to have them continue it. There’s one way to do that: vote for Lillian, Eaton, and Davis.
