Florida Library to Host Local Meteorologist

Local News News & Updates

The Florida Public Library is will host Joe Rao, best known as Chief Meteorologist for News 12 Westchester and Hudson Valley for 21 years.  On Thurs., May 13 at 6 p.m., join Joe on Zoom as he presents The Seven Wonders of the Universe.

The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World is the first known list of the most remarkable creations of classical antiquity; it was based on guidebooks popular among Hellenic sightseers and only includes works located around the Mediterranean rim and in Mesopotamia. The number seven was chosen because the Greeks believed it represented perfection and plenty, and because it was the number of the five planets known anciently, plus the Sun and Moon.

To register for the program, visit  www.floridapubliclibrary.org.  The program is open to adults 16 years and up and is being co-sponsored with the Chester Public Library and the Tuxedo Park Library.
