Twelve years ago, I had the honor and privilege to serve as a member of the Warwick Valley Central School District Board of Education. Voters elected and trusted me to assist with advising the district’s superintendent, for the betterment of our school-aged children and community. It’s time to vote again and I ask that you trust my endorsement of Dave Eaton, Lynn Lillian and Sharon Davis.
Dave Eaton is a 33-year resident of Warwick. He retired from a career in the medical field and his wife, Robyn, is a retired elementary school teacher. They raised two children who graduated from Warwick schools and went on to have successful careers after college. He supports a solid curriculum, including music, athletics and drama, for a well rounded educational experience. Dave has served on the school board for 16 years, along with six years as BOCES board member and is a representative of the O.C. School Board Association. I also have the pleasure of serving the Warwick Valley Rotary Club with Dave, where he served as president.
I met Lynn Lillian twelve years ago when we both ran for school board for the first time. We chose to run on the same slate along with Paul Caskey. We were elected, ready to attack our new roles and served with wide-eyed enthusiasm. During that time we became good friends. Lynn continued to serve and even became Board President. Her enthusiasm, intelligence, commitment, along with 12 years experience as a school board member, is a sure fit for continued success with our school district’s future decisions.
Completing this impressive slate of board members is Sharon Davis, who was voted in the year after I stepped down. Sharon hit the ground running and is the current President of the board. For the nine years she’s been a school board member, she has served as President for five. Talk about solid experience! Sharon is consistent, smart, enthusiastic and a born leader.
