More and more vaccines are arriving in our area. I am urging everyone who is eligible to register at vaccination.orangecountygov.com or the NYS “Am I Eligible” link. If you are a senior you can also call the Office for the Aging for assistance at (845) 615-3700. Cases in Orange County are up due in part to our County not getting enough vaccines, but that is changing. If you are still having trouble call my office at 986-1120, ext. 240, and I will help connect you. It is more important than ever to wear your mask, keep your distance and wash your hands.
Thanks to the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce Operation Clean Sweep will return during the week of Apr. 17 to Apr. 24. The Chamber will supply garbage bags and gloves, and you can pick a road to help rid our community of what seems like the inevitable discarded trash that appears along our roads each year. If we all pitch-in we can make quick work of improving the environment and helping our community. On Mon., Apr. 26, our Department of Public Works will collect all the filled trash bags from our hard work and take them to the Transfer Station in Goshen where the County has graciously waived the fee for this event. I want to thank County Executive Steve Neuhaus, as well as Legislators Barry Cheney, Paul Ruszkiewicz and John Vero for their support of this event.
We are still seeking suggestions for a new name for the former Kutz Camp property. If you would like to suggest a name please email it to townhall@townofwarwick.org.
