The S.S. Seward Institute girls’ soccer, swim and volleyball teams recognized several high school seniors as their season came to an end. They were recently honored along with their families.
Among those recognized was Morgan Kelly who started on the girls’ soccer team for five years. She served as the co-captain for two years. Morgan displayed leadership and dedication throughout the program with her outstanding skills. She will continue to play soccer at the next level.
Also honored was Bella Wierzbicki who became one of the soccer team’s starting forwards after transferring to the school last year. Bella’s experience and unselfish play was evident and important to the team. She is second in scoring and leads the team in assists.
Senior co-caption Viola Lin was recognized for her hard work and improvement as a three-year member of the girls’ swim team.
On the volleyball team, Sophia Licata, was honored. She played two years on the varsity team. She starts as an outside hitter position. As a senior captain, she has a strong and positive leadership role on and off the court.
In addition, Emily Romano was recognized as a senior captain on the volleyball team. She played on the varsity team for two years as an outside hitter. She has a strong, positive leadership role on the team.
