Mayor Harter: Annual Spring Bulk Pick-Up

Local News News & Updates

Next Monday we begin our annual spring bulk pick-up week here in the Village. For all our newer residents that may be unaware, this is an opportunity to dispose of more than just your weekly garbage. All residents are reminded to follow the guidelines for what garbage can be taken and what cannot. These guidelines were sent out with your last sewer and water utility bill. If you no longer have it, please go to the Village website and you can review it there.

With the warmer weather we have had an increase in complaints about kids driving ATV’S and dirt bikes throughout the Village. Not only is this illegal it is dangerous not just for the kids, but pedestrians and people driving cars as well. Accidents can and do happen cutting across roads and with more than one child on a machine. I urge the parents of these kids to stop them from driving on Village streets and private properties before an accident or worse happens. There are many clubs and organizations in the area that have dirt tracks you can join with your friends and ride to your hearts content.
