Spring is a time when the winter blues are shaken off and our spirits feel renewed. The weather begins to offer the most pleasant opportunities for walking, hiking and enjoying the great outdoors. Spring also signifies the beginning of outdoor sports seasons for the kids in our community.
On Sat., Apr. 17, we will march toward normalcy as the Village of Greenwood Lake hosts the Opening Day Little League Parade and opening day of baseball. For many children in Greenwood Lake, this parade is the very first civic activity of their lives.
The parade will kick off at 9 a.m. and proceeds down Windermere Ave. from Chase Bank to Murphy’s Tavern. The parade then takes a right down Elm St. and heads to Lion’s Field where the opening ball is thrown and the baseball season begins. Please join us by lining the streets and cheering for our local young Lakers as they march us toward normalcy.
