The Village of Warwick will dedicate S. Lynn St. in honor of Chief Warrant Officer 2 Daniel G. Prial. On Jan 20 of this year, CWO2 Prial perished in a helicopter crash near Rochester, NY as part of a U.S. Army National Guard training exercise. He grew up on S. Lynn St. where his parents Gregory and Anne currently reside.

The proposed dedication was brought to the attention of the Village of Warwick Board of Trustees by Charles Alonge of Rolling Thunder, NY Chapter 3. According to Alonge, he started the street dedication program “for the Gold Star Mothers” to keep the memory of fallen soldiers alive in their communities.

The Rolling Thunder will provide the dedication sign in honor of Danny Prial; there will be no cost to the Village. The signs are approved by the Department of Transportation and are a street dedication only, there will be no change to addresses or the 9-1-1 system.

Village Mayor Michael Newhard thanked Alonge and Rolling Thunder for reaching out to the Prials and the Village regarding this “amazing program.”
