Seeking Artists for Summer Exhibit

Local News News & Updates

Wickham Works announces its 2021 Call for Artists for an outdoor summer art exhibition in Warwick. Following the success of their “Words from Warwick” exhibition, featuring the response of local artists to the Covid-19 pandemic and displayed around town in August 2020, they are seeking to commission artwork on the theme of “Finding Your Voice.” For details on how to apply visit www.WickhamWorks.Org.

Storytime & Making Workshops

The popular Earth Fest and Too Good to Toss events which Wickham Works usually hosts in April are postponed to a later date. However, the group offers a virtual Open Door Makers Lab evening social for adults and teens on the first Thursday of each month, and free virtual Storytime & Making workshops for younger children. The next children’s workshop will be on Sat., Mar. 20 at 10 a.m. and feature folktales of the sea from around the world.

Love Local Makers Market

The next in-person event for Wickham Works will be a spring Love Local Makers Market in Lewis Park, just in time for Mother’s Day on Sat., May 1 and Sun., May 2 with a rain-date of May 8. For more information follow WickhamWorksMakerSpace on Facebook and Instagram or send an email to  mshawsmith@wickhamworks.org.
