Warwick Spreads the Warmth at P.I. Park

As part of a community effort spearheaded by Warwick resident Kerri Fenton Foley, “Warwick Spreads the Warmth at Pine Island Park,” community members are invited to donate winter accessories for those in need.

Foley and her children got the idea to help others in need from other local villages that took the initiative to provide warm outerwear for the needy.

Since COVID-19, the need for bare necessities has grown. To support this effort, the Town, the Pine Island Chamber of Commerce, and even students at Pine Island Elementary are filling Ziploc bags with new or clean and gently worn gloves, hats, and scarves.

They should be labeled with who they are appropriate for, such as an adult, boy, or girl. There are clothespins at the fence on the baseball field at Pine Island Park, located off of Kay Rd., to hang up the bags.
