Hello Florida,
As I drove down Glenmere Ave. over the weekend I saw that many of you were out on the lake enjoying some ice fishing. It was great thing to see after such a long hiatus!
I took a walk out on the ice to get the fishing report and even though it was a slow day everyone was having a good time and happy to be outside. I also saw that a part of the lake is still open, so I’d like to remind everyone to be safe out there and make sure you have enough ice to fish where you plan to go.
If you are new to the sport or would like to give it a try there are many resources available online for you to research and learn. Please remember all NYSDEC fishing rules and regulations apply for Glenmere and there are no gas engines allowed on the lake.
The park is still only open to Town of Warwick residents and their guests at this time. I also urge everyone to pick up after themselves when they leave, so far everyone has been great doing this so let’s keep it up.
