Hello Florida,
With the cold weather setting in around the area, I’m happy to say that the Village ice skating rink is open! Located on Meadow Rd. next to the State Police barracks, this is a great activity for all to enjoy. If you’re new to skating, a pro or just want to get out and spend some quality time with your kids or family, I encourage you to give our rink a try. We also have the rink lit at night so you can skate under the stars.
Another ice related staple in our little Village is ice fishing on Glenmere Lake. I know many are excited for the prospect of getting out there as the ice thickens, and after a hiatus of several years, it should be great fishing. I urge everyone to be safe and smart when venturing onto the ice this year and make sure it’s safe to be on it. Ice fishing is a fun activity for the whole family and hopefully we will be out there very soon.
Martin Luther King Jr. day is this Mon., Jan. 18 and the Village Hall and courts will be closed for the day. Village-wide garbage collection will take place Tuesday. If you are usually scheduled for Monday pickup please don’t leave your garbage cans out Sunday night this coming week, thank you.
