Hello Florida,
With a few months of winter to go we will more than likely have more snow to deal with on our roads and streets. Remember that we have a no overnight parking ordinance in effect until Mar. 31 for Village roads. This is in place to let the DPW clear the streets of snow without obstacles in their path. Also please be aware that if you have a sidewalk in front of your home or business you are responsible for clearing snow from it.
Finally, and most importantly I want to bring to everyone’s attention something that I have been seeing in the Village, reckless driving around the DPW while they are working. I’ve seen this predominantly while they are collecting garbage and recyclables during the morning hours. I urge everyone to please slow down and use common sense when passing the garbage truck so that we can avoid any tragedies.
