All are welcome to join the Cornell Cooperative Extension Orange County 4-H Youth Development Program. Typically, there are enrollment or re-enrollment fees to join 4-H, however enrollment is free to join for a limited time only.
4-H is a community of young people across America who are learning leadership, citizenship, and life skills. A simple breakdown of opportunities includes: cloverbuds (for children ages 5 to 7), 4-H clubs (for youth ages 8 to 12), teen programs (for youth ages 13 to 19), after school programs – (for agencies and organizations) and school science programs – (for school districts).
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected the way the organization is able to deliver programming, but the team of current 4-H educators and volunteers are committed to providing youth with opportunities both virtually and by safely planning in-person meetings and events when possible. Some programs include: Computer Science and Robotics, Animal Science, Natural Resources, Public Presentations and much more.
