A four-month investigation by Police into the sale of cocaine in the Town of Warwick was concluded on Fri., Dec. 11 with the arrest of a local resident. The Warwick Police Street Crimes and Narcotics Unit along with the Orange County Drug Task Force conducted the investigation.
Todd Smith, 54 of Warwick, was arrested by Warwick Police with the assistance of the Tactical Response Unit on Dec. 11 as a search warrant was executed on his residence.
According to Police, over two ounces of cocaine was recovered as a result of the ongoing investigation. Smith was charged with Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the third degree and three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the third degree, both Class B felonies. Smith was arraigned and remanded to the Orange County Jail without bail.
