Warwick Valley High School Senior Brian Laroe had some great options. The three-year Varsity Football player captains the offensive line from the most valued position in football…Center. Following the footsteps of his father Jim Laroe, WVHS ’72, Brian developed into one of Section IX’s top returning offensive lineman. He recently won the “Frozen Ropes” Lineman Challenge Bench Press Competition moving 185lbs. 24 times. Brian is an outstanding student carrying a 91.3 overall GPA. He earned NYSPHSAA Scholar – Athlete status for football and plans to study Economics and minor in Spanish.
Brian Laroe is the son of Jim and Jean Laroe and was recruited by Coach Tanner Niles. He chose St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY over Castleton, Catholic University (Washington, DC) and Wilkes University (PA). Brian received the Presidential Scholarship from the St. Lawrence Saints who compete in the Liberty League along with Ithaca College, University of Rochester, Hobart and RPI. Brian Laroe and the Wildcats will kick off the football season on March 1. Go Wildcats!
