The Florida Public Library launched its “Library of Things” campaign last Friday, which I attended along with Trustee Alyssa Werner-Jahrling, NYS Senator Jen Metzger, the library director, board members and volunteers. I must say this is a very cool program.
Have you ever needed something around the house for only a day or two like a power tool, game or even a fishing rod? That’s where the “Library of Things” comes into play. Community members can now come to the library and borrow these items free of charge!
More items will be added over time to expand this new program and I urge everyone to come to the library to check it out! This program was jumpstarted from a grant secured by Senator Metzger and it is greatly appreciated.
