This year, as per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines and state mandates, the annual Veteran’s Day memorial service at the Legion will be closed to the public.
However, the locally founded Rumshock Veteran’s Foundation will be hosting a “22 Walk of Awareness” on Wed., Nov. 11 at 4 p.m. in the Winstanley Park (CVS Field).
A statement from Rumshock on the event reads: “On average, 22 American Veterans take their life every day… For 11 days, starting November 11, we are asking you to join us in dedicating 22,000 cumulative steps (2,000 steps per day) for our veterans”.
The walk will begin at 4 p.m. and we are encouraging everyone to join us to support awareness for our veterans. I hope to see many of you there!
