The Warwick Community Ambulance Service fielded 157 calls and worked 198 hours for the month of August.
They responded to the following calls: 41 for general illness; 27 for falls; 19 motor vehicle accidents; 17 cardiac related calls; 14 unresponsive persons; eight for difficulty breathing; six seizures; five overdoses; four medevac transports; three each of diabetic emergencies, assaults, unspecified pain; and calls classified as other; two each for medical alert activations, strokes, and fire standbys.

All these calls were handled by volunteers who provide service 24/7, and the Warwick Community Ambulance Service is always looking for new members.
