Local Group Sends 8,000 Letters to Voters

On Sat., Oct. 17, members of the local advocacy group, Indivisible Hudson Valley NY participated in the Vote Forward National Send Off Day by mailing over 8,000 personalized letters to voters across the country.

Indivisible Hudson Valley NY was established in 2016 and is made up of a diverse coalition of Hudson Valley residents. The guiding principles of the organization revolve around defending the democracy of the United States of America and the principles on which it was founded. Using methods outlined in the national parent organization, Indivisible.org, the group seeks to harness the intrinsic activism of its members to promote respect, unity and inclusion in the political process.

Vote Forward is national grassroots 501(c)(4) movement whose mission is to empower volunteers to help register voters from under-represented demographics and encourage them to vote, with the goal of sending 15 million letters nationwide before election day.
