Editor,
This letter is to advise the residents of Florida, NY. A New York State and Federal Licensed biologist has found that the cricket frog, listed as an endangered species, habitat is in Florida, NY and includes the land along Village Dr. and South Main St.
There is documented evidence of the cricket frog at this site and the Department of Environmental Conservations and, the Village of Florida have been notified.
The proposed construction of multi-storied buildings with 37 apartments, five to seven stores and two parking lots on this site should not proceed. We believe the environmental study done by the builder was flawed and inadequate and further environmental studies are needed.
