Hello Florida,
I would like to use this week’s column to address the incredibly sad passing of Robert “Biff” Schreibeis. Biff was a pillar of our community and was involved in the Village of Florida on many different levels. As a lifelong resident, he built a successful trucking and excavating company for 50 years. Being an ambitious businessman is only one of the many professional accomplishments in Biff’s long career.
He was the current Chairman of the Board of the Florida Fire Commissioners, member of the Village of Florida Zoning Board of Appeals, member Orange County Industrial Development Agency (IDA). Biff always wanted the best for his community. He dedicated a great amount of time to ensure that Florida and the area as a whole would thrive and grow.
In the short amount of time I knew Biff it became abundantly clear he was smart, ambitious and loved his family. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family during this difficult time.
