Golfers looking for a fun, socially-distanced day of golfing for a cause are invited to attend Catholic Charities of Orange, Sullivan, and Ulster’s 14th annual Golf for Charity Outing on Tues., Sept. 8, at West Hills Country Club, located at 121 Golf Links Rd. in Middletown.
The annual event will raise much-needed funds to support the not-for-profit human service agency’s work in the community, including COVID Relief such as emergency food and shelter assistance. Catholic Charities and West Hills Country Club have been working closely to provide participants with an outstanding day of golf while adhering to the necessary physical distancing and safety requirements.
Golfers will receive a boxed continental breakfast when they check-in starting at 8:30 a.m. The shotgun will sound at 10 a.m. for the scramble format and a barbecue lunch will be served on the course. The day of golf will feature Healey Brothers’ Hole-in-One Contest, as well as closest-to-the-pin, longest drive, and winning foursomes, for both men and women. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the outing will forgo the evening wrap-up celebration and all prizes will be announced by email the following day.
A variety of sponsorship opportunities – including tee signs for only $125 – are available, as well as registration for foursomes and individual golfers. The fee per foursome is $800, or $210 for individual golfers. For more
