Albert Wisner Public Library, located at 1 McFarland Dr. in Warwick, is ready to open the Children’s Room to the public on Tues., Sept. 1.
Twenty-minute visits can be made by appointment on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 3 to 6 p.m., and on Saturdays from 12 to 4 p.m. Appointments may be scheduled by calling 986-1047 ext. 4 beginning Sat., Aug. 28 and may be made up to a week in advance. One appointment per day per person will be allowed.
All staff and visitors are required to properly wear face coverings and practice social distancing. Hand sanitizer will be available, and the restroom will be open in the children’s area. The Library building will remain locked and visitors with appointments should call 986-1047 ext. 4 when they arrive. Entrance to the children’s area will be through the patio door at the back of the Library, which is accessible from the walkway that runs parallel to McFarland Drive. Walk-ins will be accommodated as space is available. A maximum of 10 visitors of any age will be admitted at a time. Please return all library materials to the book drop which is accessible in the parking lot 24/7.
In order to provide a safe and welcoming environment for everyone during the Covid-19 pandemic, the Library Board has adopted a temporary Safety Practices Policy.
