Beautiful People, Orange County’s largest adaptive youth sports league, is turning its sights to the summer season with all-new programming that satisfies social distancing requirements while providing its young athletes innovative methods of staying active and staying connected with all of their teammates.
Beautiful People’s programming for children with disabilities has gone virtual since March, with the organization quickly adapting its team sports orientation to innovative digital group experiences at no cost to participants. The new activities include yoga, Zumba, and themed social get-togethers on Zoom that provide opportunities to interact with teammates in a safe, moderated environment.
Hudson Sports Complex (HSC), has been a devoted supporter of Beautiful People, providing coaching, facilities and generous financial support since HSC’s inception in early 2019. With the start of the summer, and continued concerns about social distancing, HSC is deepening their commitment to Beautiful People with virtual soccer programming.
These online programs are run collaboratively by HSC coaches who teach new soccer techniques, conduct drills and keep a close eye on the Beautiful People athletes to provide guidance and encouragement. HSC is offering summer camps in July and August for children looking to have fun and stay active this summer.
