Natalie Daigle and Tristan Peterson were recognized by the Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association (OCIAA) as Warwick Valley High School’s 2020 Senior Scholar – Athletes of the Year. Peterson and Daigle were honored along with 48 students from the 24 schools that make up the OCIAA.
Natalie Daigle ranks 9th in a class of 304 with a cumulative grade point average of 101.28. She is a five-year varsity lacrosse player and team captain for the 2020 season. Natalie scored 122 goals and led the team in assists for the past two seasons (All-Section IX Selection). She also competed on the varsity soccer team for 4 years as a defensive midfielder. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society and serves as student representative to the Warwick Board of Education and the Warwick Historical Society. Natalie will be attending Vassar College in the fall, majoring in Biology and playing lacrosse for the Brewers.
Tristan Peterson ranks 19th in a class of 304 with a cumulative grade point average of 100.36. He is a two-year varsity football player and four-year varsity indoor and outdoor track athlete competing as thrower. He was selected captain of the throwers in 2020. Tristan is a member of the National Honor Society and serves as the Model United Nations President. He is an active member of Youth in Government and President of the Spanish Club. Tristan will be attending the University of Miami in the Fall and will major in Engineering.
