Editor,
I want to give a BIG THANK YOU to three establishments in Warwick. I am one of the administrators of St. Peter Lutheran Church Food Pantry, 70 Little York Rd., Warwick. We are a small establishment, being open only the last Sunday of each month from 12 to 1:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome!
Community2gether and Sustainable Warwick together gave funds collected through various means from the residents of Warwick. They also gave donations to several other food banks. Thank you so much for being the conduit for these donations.
Sal Viola, owner of Soho Salon on First St. in Warwick, opened his place of business as a drop-off point for canned food and supplies. He does this not only in Warwick, but in three other sites with donations going to local food banks.
Lastly, I want to thank the residents of Warwick for donating through these organizations. When I see what people are doing to help those in need, I am awe struck. You are truly reflecting the heart of Jesus!
Be safe! Take care and God bless you!
CAROL LONG
