Editor,
Warwick Community Ambulance Service, an all-volunteer Emergency Medical Service, is celebrating National EMS Week from Sun., May 17 through Sat., May 23.
This year’s theme, ‘Ready Today, Preparing for the Future’ is a chance for the community to celebrate the important contributions of our EMS practitioners. These men and women provide services to a large portion of the Town of Warwick, the Village of Warwick and the Village of Florida 24 hours a day, seven days a week, without any compensation and sometimes with little thanks.
The EMS Strong campaign seeks to celebrate, unify and inspire the men and women of our nation’s emergency medical services. As you all know, we still as first responders are dealing everyday with the pandemic that has hit our nation and our communities. A situation like this is difficult for providers of all ages and levels of experience. Our EMS providers are committed and courageous, pushing past their own fears to serve. They understand the mission, and they are here to serve those patients that need them more than ever. Their presence will change the world for a loved one, a neighbor, a stranger. Their compassion, professionalism and empathy will live forever in someone else’s story.
We will continue to do everything we can to help others and save lives; that’s not just what we do, that’s who we are.

CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER
