The Albert Wisner Public Library will host researcher Marisa Hayes on Wed., June 3 from 7 to 8 p.m. sharing her studies of headstone design in the Hudson Valley’s oldest cemeteries. Focusing on styles from the colonial period through the Civil War, participants will discover how decorations and motifs reflect the social identities and views of death held by historical peoples of the region.
Register for the program at https://www.albertwisnerlibrary.org/content/grave-encounters-hudson-valley-headstone-design-zoom-program by June 2 to receive the meeting link the day prior to the program, or email sgardner@rcls.org with your name, phone, and preferred email to receive the link.
