The Friends of Hathorn House have pivoted to a virtual yet truly interactive format for the annual Founders’ Day celebration of life in 18th century Warwick on Sat., May 30 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Using Facebook Live and Zoom workshops, participants can help honor their Founding Veterans and do some “hands-on” learning while staying safe at home.
There will be Facebook live feeds from the house, where the presenters will keep a safe distance and wear masks. For craft workshops, there will be curb-side pickup that morning. Guests can get simple materials kits and do the activities along with everyone on Zoom.
The opening ceremony and first presentation will be on Facebook Live, and everyone can watch at the event page: https://www.facebook.com/HathornHouseWarwick/. The schedule for the day includes an opening ceremony and several 18th century reenactor presentations and workshops.
To register to get the Zoom meeting link for the workshops send an email to hathornhouse@gmail.com. For details and the link to register visit: https://hathornhouse.wordpress.com/founders-day-may-30-2020/.
