Due to the current Coronavirus pandemic local businesses have switched gears to continue to serve the Greenwood Lake community. Since dining indoors is not possible right now, many local eateries have made changes.
Greenwood Lake Bagels and Bakery, located at 93 Windermere Ave., and the Kozy Kitchen, located at 1155 Rte. 17A in the Minturn Food Truck Park, are among some of the local businesses that are offering curbside pickup options. Residents can call ahead to place their order and it will be brought to their car.
Greenwood Lake Bagels and Bakery owners, Christine and Will Moley, are offering delivery service from their regular menu, daily specials and grocery items such as cold cuts by the pound and rolls. The Laker Baker is onsite making birthday cakes, along with a variety of desserts and pastries. Grocery delivery is extremely helpful especially for senior citizens in the community.
In addition, pick-up window service is available from the Kozy Kitchen’s sister trio of Fer Perez, and Jessica and Rosa Godinez. Regular breakfast and lunch menu items plus daily specials are available. The sisters’ have graciously offered breakfast and lunch meals to school children who may need assistance during this time as well as extra rolls and bread to families in need. The sisters’ want to be sure the community knows they are here to help.
Many establishments in Greenwood Lake are offering options for customers to pay over the telephone, which limits the person-to-person contact. These methods stay in-line with the social distancing guidelines. The community members have been very receptive and grateful for these services and are happy to show their support and help keep businesses stay afloat during these uncertain times.
