Playing for a Cause: Warwick Ultamania Enters 24th Year

Local News News & Updates

Story by Athletic Director Gregory Sirico

The Warwick Valley Central School District Faculties competed again this year in the 24th annual Ultamania Basketball Challenge on Fri., Mar. 6 in the High School gymnasium, located at 89 Sanfordville Rd., in Warwick.

The 2020 game was played on regulation size baskets (not always the case in the past) and featured DJ Chris Gill and halftime dance coordinators Graig McElroy and John Van Pelt (Sanfordville Physical Education teachers).   The High School Faculty defeated the Middle School last year.

Doors opened at 6:45 p.m. and all proceeds benefitted the Warwick Lions Club projects and the Warwick Valley Teachers Association Scholarship Fund.  Pre-sale tickets were available through the Elementary and Middle School Physical Education teachers and in the High School through the Athletic Director’s Office for a cost of $7 (advanced ticket) or $8 at the door (limited availability).
